    computer's specification

    Hello,
i'm going to buy the following computer:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Box
    Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H
    Seagate ST31000333AS 3.5" 1000GB SATA2 32MB
    Mushkin DDR2 4096MB (2048MBx2) 800Mhz CL 4-4-4-12 XP Gold
    Antec Three Hundred
    Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400W
    Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD4770 512Mb DDR5

    Mushkin's ram requires 2.1V.
Gigabatye's Mother board support 1.8V (the standart DDR2 voltage...).
    is it a problem?

is the HD4770 is better then Geforce 9600GT?
and which company is better: Gigabyte or Sapphire (ATI Radeon HD4770 series)?

    which one is better:
    Mushkin DDR2 4096MB (2048MBx2) 800Mhz CL 4-4-4-12 XP Gold
    Mushkin DDR2 4096MB (2048MBx2) 1000Mhz CL 5-5-5-15 XP REDLINE
    G.skill DDR2 4096MB 800MHZ PI Black Dual Chanel CL4-4-4-12

sygate's HDs had problems is the past. is there a known problem with my HD?

is Corasir's 400W PSU is enough for me?
    How's Antec 300??

    thank you.

    Gal.

That's a nice rig you are planning to buy, but a few pointers.

1: I would go for a 790X/FX/GX board, for best support of your cpu.
2: If you will be gaming a bit and do some editing, I would go for 2 seperate harddrives + maybe 1 backup, so you can put 2 drives on raid 0 for performance.
3: Depends on the PSU, what are the +12V ratings?? and is it a 80+ PSU??
But it would be cutting it close, I would go for a 500W, also for futureproofing, when you maybe decide to get a more powerfull card.
4: Seagate is a good brand, but I would go for Western Digital myself, they are in my opinion the best.

The 4770 falls between the 4830 and 4850, and both of those are better then the 9600GT, so I guess it will be better then the 9600GT.
Sapphire is an ATI only brand and they have very nice cards, mine is a Sapphire as well and I couldn't be happier so to speak.

As for the ram voltage.....I wouldn't worry about that too much, almost every bios nowadays supports upping the ram voltage, as does my gigabyte board, so......
    2 x Opteron 4280 2.8Ghz, Asus KCMA-D8, 32GB DDR3 1600, Asus 6950 DCII 1GB 2 x M4 64GB SATA600, Caviar Black 640GB, Seagate 1TB, 27"syncmaster
