| 4 pin molex to 3 pin "female" I got a digi doc 5 to control and moniter and control my case fans. The fans for the proc, chipset, mem, and vid card are all 3 pin fans. So those are set. The problem is that my 3 case fans are 4 pin molex.
I looked everywhere including newegg, sotrickcomputers, mwave, etc. All the 3 pin to 4 pin molex adapters are 3 pin "male" to 4 pin molex.
Where can I get a 4 pin molex to 3 pin "female"? How hard is it to make my own. I bought a solder gun for another project.
I guess I could break down and buy 3 case fans that use 3 pin adapters.
Thanks guys. |

| What are you trying to plug from what to what?
I just got a couple Thermaltake 60mm fans that were three pin fans with adapters so you could plug them into 4-pin Molex (drive power) connectors....

| I got 4 pin molex fans. They need to plug into a 3 pin connector. Basicly I need to convert my 4 pin into a 3 pin (female) just like your fans.
All the 4 to 3 pin adapters i found convert to the wrong 3 pin (male). |

| Hmmmm... I don't have any ideas one where to BUY something like that, but you could just wire up the +/- to the +/- of a 3 pin fan connector (you could cut off from an old 3-pin fan). Just disregard the SENSE/RPM line though. |

| WOW Necro-Thread Revival Award of The day Goes to pabad09...
6 PLUS YEARS OLD...
registered & joined the forums just to earn the award I suspect?
(How in gods name do you people pick & choose these old threads to revive? I mean you couldn't of been looking to ASK a question or find an answer to one, since your post is simply providing a link to a thread as "suggestion" or for help... which makes one wonder, is that the limit of your Computing knowledge? a 4 pin to 3 pin wire adapter? ) |
