The title says it all - I want a slim slot loading disk drive on my desktop. There are a few I found on newegg.com (there doesn't seem to be a huge market for these things) and I would buy one but I came across a slight problem.

They seem to be - at least to my eyes - laptop drives. Now - I figured I'd have to get a tray or caddy for it to fit in the proper 3.5" slot, but I guess that's not my only problem.

Connection would be the first problem

This drive: Newegg.com - Sony Optiarc Black 8X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 6X DVD+R DL 8X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 5X DVD-RAM 8X DVD-ROM 24X CD-R 24X CD-RW 24X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA Slim 8X Slot Loading DVD Burner - CD / DVD Burners
seems to be SATA which means connection shouldnt be a problem

Form Factor would be the next. These drives are 12.7mm

So my questions to you are -

1. Should I worry too much about connectivity and buy an adaptor

and 2. Where can I get an appropriate caddy or try for this to work. I tried searching online but could only find Hard Drive caddies - kinda useless in this situation.

Thanks for the help!
