Hooking up Car subs and amp to pc?
Anyone know how to hook up car subs and amp to a pc? How much output should your PSU have. I was thinking of hooking up a 350watt sub to my pc. I have a 600watt psu...
Any ideas on how good it would work or if it will even work? Would it sound like crap?

it's not worth doing. You'll need an inverter because the power from your outlet is different then the power from your car. DC vs AC

First off, it would not connect to your computer powerwise. You would need a power inverter coming from a home outlet to plug your amp into, like batmeat says. You would also have to have a soundcard with the proper output plugs to connect to the amp, if I recall correctly amps use RCA cables. You might be able to get by using an adapter, but the sound would certainly suffer.
IMO, not worth it.The timing of death, like the ending of a story, gives a changed meaning to what preceded it. -Mary Catherine Bateson-
