thats why they print the games requirements on the side of the box...
simple comparisons is all it takes.
You know, the same skills needed to play Sesame Streets, Which one of these is not like the other, just in the opposite.
Problem, is, how is you PC compared to what?
if you mean the COD6 game, if you mean Modern Warfare 2?
Video card is weak, its bottom of the barrel for a gaming card.
RAM is fine.
CPU is fine.
Motherboard is getting a bit old, but still quite capable.
How much Hard drive space do you have?
Whats the Specs on your Power supply (I know I'm going to regret asking this as I'll probably get back some answer with the Total Watts, or you'll read the Wall voltage input and give me that info instead)
But there's a sticker on the side of the Power Supply, in the case, read it, and type out the specs here.
Brand and Model of PSU, amp rating for +3.3V, +5V and +12V power.
Need to know the Power supply specs before advising the obvious, which is an Upgrade for your Graphics card.
What kind of Computer Case is this you have, is a slim case, a Micro, Mid size or Full Tower/desktop case?i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Power supplies specs, and high end video cards recommendations, go hand in hand.
That's why Shyguy asked for the specs.
Without the specs and brand. and how much you want to spend, we would waste a lot of time.
The chances are pretty good you will need a new power supply, a 9500GT will run on a pretty crappy 400w power supply.Last edited by stroyal; May 18th, 2010 at 02:16 PM.

Oh and the 9500GT is a pretty small card, newer cards are going to be a lot bigger, so the case info he asked for is also critical.

seriously, No sticker on the Power supply inside the PC?
Need to open the PC to look of course.
but if you have no sticker, then its most likely a crap brand PSU in which case, anything higher than that card you have now, could potentially overload the PSU and take most of the system with it.

Newegg.com - Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D Green 380W Continuous power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
2 Good suggestions for GPU and PSU upgrades, before you ask, yes that PSU will run the video card and work with your PC, regardless of what the Video cards Requirements Say, the PSU is good quality, and has enough amps on +12V power to run the card.
with out knowing what kind of case, or specs on your current PSU, this one is NOT guaranteed to fit, which is why we need to know, for all we know you could have a Micro ATX case, with a Smaller Form factor PSU in which case this one I linked to might not fit.
could you at least take a picture (as clear as possible) of your Power supply in your Case, and you Case, or if this is a Prebuilt PC like a Dell or HP list the model number of the PC.
and upload the picture here.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Your English is a lot better than half the Americans that post here, in fact, I'd say it is pretty good.
If a dummy like me can fix computers, I'd thing someone smart enough to be multi- lingual can.
Besides, how were you going to change the Video card, without opening the case.
The power supply is what the power cord plugs into, at the back of the case.
Removing the left side panel is easy, and is usually all you need to do.
Although the label might be on the right.
If this is a store bought like a Dell, just give us the model, and we should be able to look it up.Last edited by stroyal; May 18th, 2010 at 03:12 PM.

I always get kick out of multi-lingual people apologizing for their English.
My reaction is always, hello, you speak more than 1 language. ( in your case 4)
Heck, I thought It was an accomplishment to understand the currency, when I worked in the UAE.
Well it sounds like a 500Watt, if you can just get the power supply Brand name, we can probably look it up.
A quality 500Watt will run just about any video card. But it has to be quality.
Shyguy is the Vid card expert, and I don't game, so he will have to advise you on that game.Last edited by stroyal; May 18th, 2010 at 03:48 PM.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were talking about Need for Speed.
I do sims, but not NFS shift. but specs are easy.( flight sim, nascar, F18. older NFS).
Need for Speed: Shift - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Scroll down to requirements.
It looks like even with a new video, your processor may be a bottleneck, but Shyguy will know better.Last edited by stroyal; May 18th, 2010 at 04:06 PM.

Can't comment for sure on the game, since I have NFS Shift on Sony PSP only.
but the current card should be able to run the game, just not at top end settings fluidly. Might be able to run it at medium settings pretty good though. Minimum specs are top end Geforce 7800 series cards from 2 generations Prior to your 9500GT, which should be about on average the same performance as the 7800GT, and a Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz Dual Core CPU, which your Pentium Dual Core easily beats by a mile.
I've played the Demo's on PC, but I had issues with controls settings being applied so gave up on them, but then again, my game system is pretty high end, so I had no troubles running the game.
I haven't had a lower end gaming PC like yours in years, so I couldn't even comment for certain on how it would run.
my 2nd PC, is lower end, but I never really game on it, except for maybe once in awhile 4 or 5 or 6 year old games.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

PassMark CPU Benchmarks - High Mid Range CPU's
I had to look it up again, I see as Shyguy said, your CPU is better than minimum requirements.
The problem with power supplies is a low quality 500watt PS might only in reality, put out half as much power as a quality one. So we only recommended quality ones.
The other thing is the amps that the power supply sends to the 12volt rail is different on every 500w power supply, quality or not.
The amps on the 12volt rail is very important on modern computers.
So unless we have almost all the info on a power supply, it is hard to judge.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

You can try the 'Can you Run It?' website. Choose NFS Shift from the drop-down, then let the ActiveX app install. It will test your system for minimum requirements and minimum recommendations.

keep in mind it will not tell you how well the game will run, just whether it will run on your PC or not, regardless of what it says on there.

I figured I'd lend a hand in actually getting a pathway to getting these parts. Now according to google this site is based in isreal so you should be able to get parts from them.
