    Dell Dimension 8200 Sound

Hey guys I have a Dell Dimension 8200 that i want to use for Mixing, Recording, Music editing and other things in that nature. Besides ram and everything i am looking for a music program and also a sound card that i can have several imputs going into it.

    What are my options?

This computer will have Nothing on it except sound stuff and just be used for sound. Something with 6 channels would be great. Also what are good music programs. This is for a 3 person band with 2 microphones.

    Thanks guys

I have used a Creative EMU 0404 (PCI). There are lots of inputs, outputs, etc. It comes with some software.

I've never done any serious mixing on a computer, so I can't offer a suggestion there.

Can that be hooked up to a sound board?? Or has multiple RCA outputs/inputs?

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Almost any computer should be able to run the card.

You can also look for "system requirements" for most things.
