    Question From Celeron 600MHz to Pentium III 933MHz on a Compaq 0688h Mobo - Possible?

     
    Hi guys,

    I know the max. memory supported is just 512MB, but how about max. CPU speed?

    First off will see a marginal gain, we are talking slow to not quite as slow.

    If a cpu fits the socket it usually works, as long as the bios is supporting the cpu.

    In your case it seems that was an option.

    CPU-Z gives this info "Multiplier x FSB: 9.0 x 66.5 MHz" under "Processor Information", and "FSB speed: 66.0 MHz" under "DMI Processor". So according to the URL above, then I could only upgrade to max. Celeron 766MHz???
