    How do I configure SpeedFan?

Hello, I need help to configure SpeedFan, because it wont show me the speeds of each of my case fans, and also I can't seem to control any of my fans either. Also I don't know what some things are in this application, such as the temperature labelled as "AUX".. ?

Not all fans are controllable nor are they capable of being sped up/down. It depends on how you have them powered generally only the ones powered directly from the motherboard only offer any type of speed control. Oddly it looks like it not even reporting speeds from your cpu fan.

AUX temps I'm not even sure about.

All my fans are connected directly to my mobo, so I was hoping someone could help me configure SpeedFan so that I can utilize all of it's features.

Have you looked at your BIOS to see if fans can be controlled there? Output fan header voltage can be varied based on temperature with some motherboards.

Are all your fans only two wire? I don't think speedfan can control without a reference rpm input. Although it's been a really long time since I used it.

Sometimes 'Aux temp' is a HDD temp & speedfan just doesn't know it.

It had been awhile for me to so I d/l'd it just to see. Since its not reading any of your fans I'm thinking it might not support your board or there is some other issue. You might want to try the beta version to see if you can get it to read the fans.

With ASUS boards I know you need to disable QFan from within the bios. Then its really just a matter of whether Speedfan supports your system or not. If it does then there really isn't much configuring, it should automatically detect everything. You just adjust fan speeds up or down.

Since it looks like its not working you might try the Fan Control program ASUS has with their utilities.

I also use speedfan on my PC. I think it works great but the only problem that I could see is that the fans shut down after a few seconds??? However, whenever I try clicking the buttons that can modify the speed of the fans, it again turns on.

Could it be because it is not compatible with my system?
