OK, are the motherboard and CPU included in the price or are they already purchased...
No monitor is listed, do you already have a monitor or two?
What size/resolution, because that will affect what video card will work best.
Are you a bonified audiophile that will be using $200+ headphones or speakers, because unless you are, just use the onboard sound...
I'll start my list here...
Newegg.com - Patriot Viper II Sector 7 Edition 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PV736G1600LLK
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7
Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex 3 V3LT-25SAT3-240G.oem 2.5" 240GB SATA III - SSD
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD2002FAEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE Super Overclock Series GV-N580SO-15I GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
Newegg.com - XFX Core Edition PRO750W (P1-750S-NLB9) 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 22X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 1.5MB Cache SATA CD/DVD Burner - CD / DVD Burners
Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit English 1-Pack - Operating Systems
Cases are subject to debate...
Newegg.com - ENERMAX SPINEREX ECA5010M-B-B Black SECC 1.0mm ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Advanced Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
You can fudge a few items but that puts you real close to the budget...Last edited by JPMiller; May 18th, 2011 at 01:11 AM.

Yes the CPU and Motherboard are included in the price. The monitor isn't really an issue right now and isn't included in that price just focused on the pc itself. So whatever video card selected won't be a problem. Thanks for post

The reason I asked about the monitor, is because it DOES matter if your using a single 19" LCD your NOT going to get SLI cards...
If your rockin two or three 30" LCD's its a different story...

seldom do people go back to 1 monitor after having used 2...
I usually game on one and task/surf on the other...
So the card I linked will more than suffice for those monitors.

Depends on the case you get.
Size of fans is determined by that as well.
that 690 II case, I know has 2x up to 140mm on top, 2x up to 140mm on side, 1x up to 140mm in front, 1x up to 120mm in rear, and 2x up to 140mm in bottom (requires removal of bottom half of drive cage). and 1x 80mm slim (Proprietary Coolermaster Fan) on the underside (right side) of case/motherboard to cool the back side of the CPU area.
not all of these is required and when i say Up to in the comment above, the 690 II in most positions has screw holes allowing mounting of 80, 92, 120, & 140mm fans.
Actually have that case which is how I know.
not sure on the other case JP listed.
The CPU cooler comes with a decent fan, good for stock cooling and some mild Overclocking.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

I used to get some bad connection ALL the time. Turns out the problem was because I had a Netgear router and a D-LINK USB stick. I bought a D-LINK router and it works fantastic. Netgear sucks.
signal enhancer?
