Yet another new build help thread

Hi guys, my other half wants a PC built for her.
Trouble is I've only built one PC in the past and my knowledge of the best components is shaky at best.
She wants to be able to play up and coming games, as well as the usual net browsing and a few other programs that I don't think will tax things too much.
Preferably it's to be able to play games at best quality atm so that as games get greedier with their specs she'll be able to reduce the quality. So it lasts a few years, possibly overclocking in the future.

I spotted this bundle and wondered what you guys thought of it and if it was any good to start a build around:

    AMD Phenom Bundle with Phenom II X6 1100T Socket AM3.. | Ebuyer.com

If it is any good what else would you recommend I put with it for graphics etc and if it's not what would you recommend
Not completely sure on budget, probably £700 ish but like I say that's not set in stone.
Thanks in advance for any and all help

That's where I would start, or what I would build right now. The AMD setup you linked to is OK, but a Sandy Bridge (Intel) rig is faster, and most likely will have a better lifespan.
The case is up to personal preference of course, but Fractal Design cases are amazing.

You could go with a 6950 2GB or a GTX560 TI, they perform about the same, with the 560 being slightly faster in heavily tessellated games. (DX 11 games)

You mentioned overclocking, most with that rig I linked to above will run ~4.4Ghz and up, depending on your cooling. (which I left out of the list btw)

I didn't even total up all the parts, but generally the AMD x6 rigs and 2500k rigs are very similar price wise, or at least over here they are. I noticed some components were priced a bit high, so you might shop around at other etailers and see if it can be cheaper.
