    pc modification with MSI main board

     
    Hi friends

    This is Madhu, I had bought a PC in 2005. Now I need to Upgrade my pc according to my requirements.
    My pc configuration is as below:

    MSI motherboard(K8MM-v)
    Processor - AMD SEMPRON
    RAM-512MB
    HDD-40GB

    I need to run heavy applications such as Adobe Dreamweaver cs3, Oracle WebSphere 10.12,Java 1.6 simultaneously. So kindly
    provide the information about up gradation,feasibility of performance and cost.

    please kindly help me

    Honestly there is nothing about your system I'd want to upgrade. Given the age of the hardware and the price premium you'd be paying to try to update to anything decent you won't get anywhere near the performance you could if you put the money into a completely new PC or build.

    If you post a budget someone will likely make some recommendation on parts for a new build but given even a decent budget you'd want to look for the following.

    Decent motherboard with dual or quad core cpu
    At least 4gbs of ram
    good power supply and case
    new hdd 500gbs or more (just based on best value)

    Since you don't mention gaming and I don't think any of the apps you run fully utilize hardware acceleration you could either use the on-board video if you get a motherboard with it, or get a low-mid range gpu.
