Very nice! Sounds like you're building this one right. I use the 300GPH pump, and my tubing is the 3/8" OD, which is what they usually use. It's thin wall, so the ID has to be bigger than 1/4". It works fine for me, but they do sell bigger hose and fittings with those kits. As for the antifreeze, make sure you use distilled water. Distillation removes minerals that can be damaging to your system. The average closed system water volume is 8oz. Yours will be a bit bigger because of the dual radiators. Since this design uses dissimilar metals it is recommended to use a cooling fluid containing anti-corrosives such as anti-freeze (10% of total water volume). Water Wetter is another alternative, I think it's better than antifreeze. The instructions recommend using 1oz per quart of water for automotive cooling systems, translating to less than .25oz needed for the Innovatek system. Here is their web site... http://redlineoil.com/products.htm |

I seem to remember seeing fittings for the waterblock that were 1/2" on the tubing side, but 3/8" on the other to screw into the block. Try these sights... http://www.innovatek.de/sites/index2.html http://highspeedpc.com/ http://www.sharkacorp.com/
It was a while ago, sorry I can't remember where I saw them. As I said though, IMO you don't need the larger tubing anyway. You can also try a hardware store though.
Where's Partsman coming from with this IrDA port?! |

In terms of PartsMan- No idea...
*edit* jus checked... nothin ... anybody know where I could get somethin like this w/ 1/4" BSPP screw & 1/2" ID hose connection? Pic below
Or should I go ghetto and get some big barbs...

You really think I will be OK with 5/16" ID, 3/8" OD tubing running processor, chipset, video and HDD blocks? With a 300Gph Eheim on 1/4" or 5/16" fittings?!

I think it'd be ok. Try e-mailing the manufacturer or distributer, just to be sure though. Or start another thread for that question. |
