Alright Idigguns, or anyone for that matter.... How hard was it to tighten the screws on the fittings? Using 1/4" ID X 3/8" OD (5/16" X 7/16" scrapped) and can't get them to budge! I've tried running the tubing under hot water but that didn't help either. I'm not going to go to the 8mm crap that comes with their kits unless I absolutely have to. Or where could I get 1/3" X 3/8" tubing? Any ideas? If I can't find anythin gonna use the 5/16" X 7/16" w/ clamps.
Thanx

If youre wondering where my comment came from, i was answering "partsman"s comment, but I will admit also that i didnt see a reference to IRda port anywhere lol.
But hey, a post is a post.
JP
PS...Im not a bigtime watercooler guru, but I dont see where infrared would come into play on a watercooler lol. Maybe though.

Actually, IrDA stands for Infrared Data Association.
But, what did that have to do with watercooling?? |

Actually, John Prophet, I was refering to Partsmans comment not yours. Lol.
Techteen, mine screwed on with no problem. Are you using the tubing that came with the kit? Those fittings are only made for one size tubing, if you use something else, you need different fittings. Oh, now I see, you're trying different tubing. The tubing that comes with the kit is 8mm inside, 3/8" outside. 8mm is .3149597 inches or about 1/3". So, it's funny when you say, "I'm not going to go to the 8mm crap that comes with their kits unless I absolutely have to. Or where could I get 1/3" X 3/8" tubing?" |

What was I thinking? I was talking about a slightly thicker tubing 8mm X 9.5mm which is about 1/3" X 3/8" unless it's the same stuff, but haven't found anythin like that around here. Looks like I'll have to use 5/16" by 7/16" w/ clamps. Offtopic would it be best to use a 10% antifreeze mixture and waterwetter or just waterwetter w/ distilled water?
Thanx

To clear up the confusion I caused ..... IrDA was mentioned as one of the things on the front of a case that was for sale in the link that was posted near the top of this thread. Sorry about the detour.

I'm using the hose that came with my kit, it's about 1/3" X 3/8". No, don't use any antifreeze. Just use the Water Wetter and distilled water. |
