    Game Consoles in PC Case

Has anybody here ever tried to combine multiple game console's into a pc case. I saw the article on it at TechTV.com. It is called Yoshi's Box but the instructions for it suck. Here are the systems that I plan to use:

Sony Playstation or Playstation 2 (Don't know which one yet)
    Atari 2600
    SuperNES
    Nintendo 64

I also may get an XBOX or Gamecube to put into it.

Any suggestions or links to some instructions would be appreciated. I don't know anything about the systems hardware so I don't really know where to start!

bjm - First of all, Welcome to TechIMO!

Second, I know I've seen a site that had a good custom job where a guy put several consoles in his computer. It was very detailed too. Unfortunately, I can't remember where it was. He had an XBox, a PS2, a GameCube, some Atari model I believe, and maybe an original Nintendo. I'll see if I can dig out a link to that site somewhere. If I do, I'll be sure to post it here.

Thanks, glad to be here. I think thats the same one that I am talking about. Its at TechTV.com. It is called Yoshi's Boxx but the instructions for it suck

I really don't know where to start! I have an empty cheap case so I figured I would start taking apart the systems. I need some ideas so if anybody wants to help with the project please post.

I just wanted to try it out. Seemed like an interesting project.
The Playstation, N64 and super NES i have are extras. I have two of each so I can take the chance to mess them up and I'll still have backups.

Well, if you post a link to the page on TechTV I should be able to see if it's the one I'm thinking of.

Interesting idea. I guess it would save space. I haven't read the article, are you talking about removing all the components from the cases and mounting their mobo's and DVD, CD's and such into the PC's case??? Very interesting. The X-Box shouldn't be hard at all. Infact might be a cool idea if you want a cheap Linux box. Just crack it, smash it into the case, and install Linux! Add a few HD's and whammo! You've got yourself a very unique rig!

Bob, yeah thats what I'm talking about. I don't think that I'm gonna use the XBOX cuz I don't have the money to buy one right now. So here is my list. I'll add to it later if I need to.

    Playstation
    N64
    Super NES
    Atari 2600

I don't wanna risk messing up my PSX 2 because thats the only one I have.
I can always add more to it later if I decide to buy the rest.
Does anybody here know anything about the hardware for these systems?

Actually a few people have done this before yoshi debued his boxx. I know of at least one off the top of my head he just had a psone in it when it first came out. I have been doing it for quite a while mostly doing it for friends or customer request. If anyone wants to know how its way easier than you would think. Once you find where to put all vital things such as, cd bay and controller hook ups your almost done. Now the thing that makes it all work is a av selector just something simple enough to hook up the number of systems your wanting in your case. Now to make it a little easier its nice to have a input on your g card for tv, get a svid to rca adapter at radio shack or somewhere cheaper and your pretty much set. The power buttons are easy to relocate if you can sodder or have electrical tape . I build quite a few of these for people just remember when your doing this sometimes thousands of dollars and your life are on the line!!! (just kidding) just dive into it and dont be worried, basic electronic knowledge is a good idea when doing this project. Oh and if you have any bare boards from your systems make sure they arnt touching any part of the case (you get the idea). If you want any more indepth instructions you can drop me a line at: nospam_firstblackfusion@msn.com just remove nospam_ from that. :P have fun!!
