I am going to be startinf server real soon, i was wondering what you guys think i should do to it. It is going into an old case i had lying round the basement, a big old sheet metal full server tower case, here are some approx. specs (haven't got all parts quite yet).
Case: old POS
mobo: Rioworks SDVIC Dual Socket 370 MB VIA Pro 266
processors: (don't got yet but plan on ..) 2 X 1ghz PIII
RAM: 512 mb DDR PC2100
Video: who cares, something cheap that works
Sound: See video description
PCI: Mylex BT-952R SCSI Raid Controller Card
Hard drives: As of now, a single Fujitsu 9.1GB LVD 68pin Ultra 160 SCSI
CD-rom: 52x Adapti Cd-rom from old pc
I think that is most of it. Anyway, I was considering a big window in the side (to actually lessen the weight, it is kinda hefty) and maybe some small things because it is not going to be the focus of attention, that is for my desktop. Any ideas are welcome.
