I plan on buying LED case fans and a light to use inside my case. I'm either gonna use blue or UV light. Which do you think is the best combination?
blue light with blue LED fans
UV light with UV reactant fans only
UV light with blue LED fans and UV reactant fans
I don't know if using blue light with blue LED fans would drown out the color of the fans, and I also don't know if the LED fans would look good with UV light. Any thoughts? |

I'm kind of partial to straight lights, personally. UV light has that glow to it that disturbs me. I think using normal lights in the right places generates a more eye-friendly and better looking affect. |

Wow! Fast response! I love these forums! Anyways, will it be overkill to use LED lights when I have a cathode ray tube light inside or would it still look good? |

Just get all of it and try the different combo's and see what you like. Whatever's left you can use in your next case. Or you can always just give it to me! I'd go with all UV inside the case, and if you really, really want some blue, you can put a blue light under the case or behind the front panel. You can also mod your keyboard and mouse with some blue lights. |

Depends on where the CCRT is and what effect you desire to create with the LEDs. I am probably going to put a pair of CCRTs in my case, on inside the top of the window and one inside the bottom so neither are directly visible. Then I plan to use LED lights to bring some more of the blue out of the front. I may actually just do the LEDs and not spend the money on a window panel. I'll replace one of the rear fans with a blue LED one and call it a day. Plus then you don't have to deal with stray UV ignition outside the case. <shrug> |

If I had some batteries for my camera I'd take a photo of blue led lights with a blue ccrt in the back ground. I choose a cc that wasn't as bright as the puter sits 24-30" away from me and I like to have the lights off in the room and the bright ones had to much glow. all in all it looks pretty good. I also have a 1" blue led power button and 1/2" blue led reset button on the front. |

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning towards an all-blue mod. |

i did a pretty much all blue mod (see it at www.sexychris.net/casemods) it's metallic blue and silver all i used for lighting were 4 antec tri-led fans and it gives a nice effect without being too overpowering.
