    hello! i've just tried to run 3dmark 03 with patch 340...
    my specs are:

    amd 2500+ barton..
    1 gb ocd ram pc 3500

    when i run it first without overclocked, i get a lousy 3575 score, when i overclock to 3200+ 2.2 ghz, i get only 3610 score in 3dmark... what is wrong ??

    Maybe if you provided your video card that would help too. Try turning down the AA/AF if it's on. Try rebooting the computer, killing all services that are unnecessary, and benchmark again.

    ****, must have been real tired last night!

    its a ati radeon 9800 pro 128 mb

    i meant that i installed the newest drivers straight away.. is there any possibility that older versions would give better results?

    Also, install the latest drivers for your mobo.
    They're pretty important.

    //edit:
    And b t w, 2,2GHz is the stock rate for 3200+. If you need to overclock your cpu to reach that, you've got something wrong there.

    Sorry, misread your post about the cpu speed

    Via had some issues with, was it 4.50v drivers, but I think the newer ones are good. No, I don't think older drivers are better.
    With graphics drivers, that would be more possible I think.
