| Clock speeds for a 9800pro?
what is the default clock speed setting for a 9800 pro 128mb?
Im using ATITool 0.0.20 to OC it, and i wanna see how much higher than normal its putting it. Also, is this a good tool to use?
currently the proggy is putting it at:
core: 378
memory: somewhere around 370
is that good? Its changing all the time too though.
edit1: Also, how can i tell if i have one of those 128bit mem or w/e 9800pros? i hear alot about how you should avoid em, how can i tell if mine is the good 256 or if its the 128?

Clock speed depends on which manufacturer you have [Sapphire, Powercolor, ATi, etc]. If you disclose your manufacturer, that would be helpful. |

Ok so how do what you just wrote match up with my settings:
Core Clock: 380.25 MHz
Memory Clock: 371.25 MHz
Rage3d gives me the option to "reset" to 378/337.5 , so im guessing that my memory is way higher than normal?
But really, is this a good amount of OC'ing? Will i notice any differences in performance? |

ok, all u gotta do is multiply ur mem speeds by 2 and u'll get the effective speed
u should at least OC to 400/700 any further might be unstable depending on ur brand/memory/cooling, so make the memory 350 and the gpu 400
u'll c a nice lil boost |

thanx. Actually what i decided to do was to let the ATITOOL program just run for a few hours, ill trust it with my settings i think.
But what you are saying is that core: 400 and memory: 350 will have a nicer boost than core:380 memory: 371?
Thanx again, i await a reply |

well yea, cuz i can OC my fx 5200U (need to upgrade, i no) to hell, but it will run unstable. So its better that u go for somethin that will give u a nice small boost, and that will be stable
... im waitin 4 ur 200th post |

Well wait no longer, for it has arrived !!!
So, ill try doing what you said and hitting core: 400 mem: 350
Tomorow im gonna get more RAM as well. Gonna get another 512 of 2700 333 DDR ram.
That should help my FPS as well right?
Btw, my current aquamark is 32100, is that any good? |
