| Wrong CPU info, and overclocking speeds.
I have an AMD Athlon XP 3200+, I overclocked it to 166mhz, but when I loaded the comp, it shows i have a 3000+. What happened?
And in my nvidia utility, I can change the AGP bus speed. Should I? and to what?
Also, i have 512mb DDR400 pc3200 ram, should I overclock that?
How do I up the voltage? |

If you set an Athlon XP 3200+ to 166mhz it is UNDERCLOCKED, it should be set at 200mhz. Currently it thinks you have a 3000+ with your bus speed set at 166. |

but it was originally at 100, I set it at 200 once and it shut down my computer. Do I need to turn up the voltage? |

The voltage should be auto detected just fine seen that CPU is ment to be run at a 200Mhz(400DDR) bus. |

No .. if your pc shutsdown when you overclock it you should return to a lower CPU speed if you want to use it and you don't want to f.. the CPU .. i'm telling you this cos i fried a few already .. and it's not a nice feeling .. |

well that means that my cpu is running under speed? Is it really supposed to do 200? That's the max. |

if you are positivley shour that your CPU is 3200+ and that's what you bought and you just set the clock to 3200+ and doesn't work .. it means it' has a problem.. or if you donno for sure try to check that...
is it 3200+? or are you trying to a overclock a smaller one ? .. i for one last year i bought a 2200+ and got it overclocked upt to 2800+ but recently it reboots whenever it wants... so i had to downgrade to 2600+ ... |
