    Silly AMD CPU question

Just installed a ne AMD xp2700 in a ecs L7S7a mobo, I am running 1 gig of PC 3200 ram and have set the bios to 200..

When she boots up and in Sandra the CPU only say's 2100+ or 1.73 in sandra.

What step have I missed to get it too 2700.

You need to set the FSB to 133 for a 266 cpu.

    Um...what part didn't you understand?

    The 2700 has a 333Mhz bus, not 400...drop your FSB to 166.

    VHockey86,, It posts as 2100+,,

Woodbutcher,, I thought I had changed that in the Advanced setup options, under CPU freq, First initial boot was at 133 then I changed it to 200 as per the ram.

I have done this many time on other boards and it has been easy. I guess being my own board I am rushing a bit...

opps lol, I missed the "and" in there and read it as
"when she boots up in sandra", so I thought it was talking about in that program alone.

My mistake on the CPU, 333 as Martoch pointed out.

Maybe a week in the Bahamas
