    amd 64 3000 or 3200....or non 64

well the subject says it all, i'm one question away from buying all the parts for my first computer build............

at first i was going to build a 3200+ barton non 64 bit computer, but then i started looking at prices, and it was around the same price to build a 3000 64 bit processor based box.......if im gonna stretch its only gonna cost me an extra 30 bucks to build a 3200 64 bit......so my question to you is which way should i go?

    btw
im in it for the games baby

also, since i will be using a non 64 bit version of windows (windows xp home) will buying the 64 bit processor be a waste of money?

The 3200 Barton is a waste of money at this point in time because a 2500+ can easily give you the same performance, even on stock cooling. Go for the 64, it gives much better performance at the same Performance Rating. Don't think of it as a 64bit chip, Just a really good CPU all around and base your decision off of that. The Athlon64 3200+ will be waaaay ahead of the 3200+ Barton. Heck, a 2800+ 64 chip is ahead of that barton
