I also believe there are adapters for such issues. |

I was curious about which was the better route myself
being a 3d graphic artist, both processing and graphics are equally important
i did a quick search, the same that found me here http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?o...rtid=61&page=1
it appears that AMD64 and PCIX will be playing together
so dont go wasting your money on an intel
cheers |

dont worry about the pci-e, just like others have said, the 8x agp is fine and you will get better proformance with the 64, if you want pci-e wait until amd has it. |

Intel will have them out soon enough, IMO your best way to go is to wait until the 64 had pci-e or if you want a computer now get a 64 w/out pci-e. I would not go with Intel, I've used many AMD and Intel systems and with experince AMD is way better for gaming, Intel is slightly better at multi-tasking I belive but overall AMD is better. |

Intel 64bit, you can be sure wont be anywhere near the same price as 64bit AMD cpu's. Cant say about bang per $$$ cause its not out yet to compair. |

Its intel. They arent going to say untill its out. They like to change sockets often so I wouldnt hold your breathe. It will likely be a new mobo deal. http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic10898.html http://www.anandtech.com/linux/showdoc.aspx?i=2158&p=1
Couldnt find anything definate. Wont prolly either. As I said intel is good at holding back info. I do know they wouldnt have given desktop users sight of 64bit/32 bit cpu so soon if not for A64 taking alot of their sales lately. Have you seen amd's stock. Im thinking of buying a few shares while I can. But tech stock is so iffy. |
