Headband, I am aware that Intel is flirting with the idea of dual core Prescotts, however in reality I'm sure these will fall through the floor. Intel has hit a deadly wall with dissipation in their Prescott line, with dissipation levels over 110 watts in the most powerful CPUs. Dual core chips will increase that to as much as 200 watts.. that's going to require a peltier to cool it, something that consumers will not be willing to use. Peltiers often require a PSU (or two) of their own, and I'm thinkin' that's just not going to fly. I believe if I heard correctly, dual core Prescotts will NOT have hyperthreading... food for thought.

I expect Intel to try to salvage everything they can out of the Pentium M, just by increasing voltages to it, they can get extreme numbers out of it with modest power ratings. Placing two cores on the package might demand too much power from the pin arrangement, however, and could keep clock speeds down--thus keeping down heat. (meh)
