    CPU FAB differences

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the way same model processors are fabricated... say the difference between an A64 3200+ and an A64 3500+
Presuming they are both of the winchester core, what are the actual differences in the chip that allow it to run faster?

The reason i ask is... I am wondering whether AMD have got a fairy decent chip, and jus change the multi, and default setting on the chip and sell it for a higher price, even tho ur getting basically the same bit of silicon.

i think they make all the same silicon and then pick the ones that will run at certain speeds and sell them as that. as long as its all the same core it's the same thing but one is garanteed to run at a higher speed, although there is always the chance the lower rated one can actually reach a higher maximum frequency.
