But...If you can go with a Athlon 64, then definitely go with that.
This will end up costing you $207.
Going with a decent A64 3000+ and a board would cost you approx. $220. Not much of a difference in price, but performance, definitely. MoBo CPU | i totally agree... athlon 64s are way better

I found the PSU. It's a part of the TR line. It has support for PCI-E and it's rated at 430 watts. It could power a relatively small socket 939 system, couldn't, like the one I had posted? |

HL2 on its max settings as well and no problems, if you would like I can give you screenies.
Maybe you thought that when I said "all" I meant all at the same time?

Most people would recommend getting a thermalright XP 90, 92, or 120 and then slapping a fan of your choice onto it. Quote: |

you could probably max it out at 1024x768 tops, but nothing above that would give you good, solid, and stable frame rates. |

well if you consider the max resolution 1600x1280 then my bro's comp (has specs in sigs) has been there and done that and handled it smoothly.

thats why i responded with my bro's specs being able to run it over that reso and settings, but i did not realize it you were aiming at battle toad, and not just video card benchies
