Help with buying memory please
Hi, Im currently looking to buy more memory for my computer and I was wondering which manufacturer I should buy from. I wasent sure if it really matters. Are some manufacturers more reliable then others when it comes to memory? I found a Viking 512 for 50$ with a 25$ mail in rebate. Does that sound okay? Also, is it better to have one 512 or two 256's?
As far as I can tell my bus type is SDR SDRAM, but im not sure how to figure out the Pin. Can someone please help me figure out what type of memory slots I have?
I was originally going to buy just a 256 but then I noticed that 512's werent to much more expensive. Thanks for the help.

if you know the speed of the ram, the model of the motherboard, or even the processor we maybe able to figure out which ram is best for you (or if its a dell computer, let us know the model number). most brands are ok for everyday use. i personally use Mushkin as they are good as well as cheap. you only really have to worry about brands if matching sticks or overclocking. just stay away from anything that looks or sounds too cheap

Kingston, Corsair, and Mushkin are the only brands I trust. My other car is a T-34.

Uh, what else can I tell you that would be helpful. Thankyou.
