quick question... ??

if i have an invoice for an AMD Athlon XP processor, can I RMA it to AMD ..??

How do you RMA a processor... it overheated somehow, (believe me, i do not know how) ...ran at stock speeds for a day and a 1/2 ... HSF running etc... just went "POOF" ....

got it at Staples.... but do i take it to Staples or RMA it back to AMD ..?

Try Staples first. If that doesn't work (which it should) , give AMD a call. I RMA'd an Athlon awhile back with no problems. They are pretty decent on there product line and problems associated with it. FYI: if they ask if you were using there recommended HSF ... Say yes!

If you want, I can do it. I've done it before. You paid for it, it should work. Not your fault. Bring it over, I'll call.
