| FACT OR FICTION ABOUT RAM
Most new MOBO can use 2G of RAM or better .Most people say your RAM proformance will drop anything above 1G is this still true with the newer systems and do the new 64bit OS play some type of part in this also

most new mobos can use 2Gig, but it would also depend on other specs, as if nothing else is about the same level there may be bottlenecks, or the software may not even use it to its full potential, i always run out of cpu power before memory, also there is a slight increase of perfomance, but not very noticeable |

yes, basically because the larger the capacity of the stick, the worse timings, so a good idea is to only use what you need, 2 x 512 running in dual ddr is optimal for most things at the moment, except for battlefield 2 and extreme multi-tasking + video editing etc |

Windows can't even use more than 2gb of ram as memory atm. You won't end up using more than that untill software migrates over to 64bit where more memory can be utalized. |
