    I think I have a temp problem

I seem to be running HOT , I thought I may have had a temp problem a while back but I have had a game lock up twice lately( Call of duty 2 Demo) and all I'm running is Fad (4 thinks) . So I got to checking the temps with Everst and in the bios. Both the same(daaa its running 70-78 celsius ) I need some thoughts what I can do to cool my cpu down. Heres my specs

    Heres my MB http://www.giga-byte.com/MotherBoard...s_GA-7NNXP.htm

1 gig of kingston 3200 ddr

    80 gig seagate sata 150

Case is a black Knight with two 120mm fans blowing full blast (new case)

Heat sink is a copper volano 7 with a custom 80mm on it

recently used Ceramique paste by made Artic silver on the cpu

Does sound like a badly seated heatsink or bad paste application, but you should also check your heatsink vanes aren't clogged with dust.

I see you're running FaD. Why don't you put it on snooze and see what happens... It's the first thing I'd do...

Hmm...try having a house fan blow right into the case...though it could be from a bad sensor...

And how come you are running 4 thinks? Wouldn't it be better with just 1?

I did some research a while back and found that gigabyte deliberaltly shows higher temps, how much? I don't know. As to 4 think I am pushing, cramming, crunching. Maybe an over kill going on. I am begining to think I need a new heat sink and some new paste the best I can find.

Make sure your paste is as thin as possible. The past is only to fill in the spots where the heat sink dosen't touch the CPU directly. As far as I know 1 think program runs your CPU at close to max, I don't think 4 can run it at more than that. The hottest temps I see is when I am running Think.

Before you look into new thermal paste, read this so you know how to do it right.
