    Dual Channel RAM question

I have 2 PNY DDR400 512Mb sticks of RAM. They were purchased individually, but they are the same part, (i.e. the identical part number). Will they work together as Dual channel, or will I get better performance by installing them in seperate channels and running as 2 cannels?

EDIT: They are going in a MSI PT880 Neo, not the Shuttle in my sig.

I'm not really understanding what you're trying to say about how to run them. But at any rate, they should work fine in dual channel mode. You don't need to buy sticks marketed specifically for "dual channel" in order for them to work.

Since both sticks are the same part number, your RAM will work fine in dual channel mode.

Thanx, yall. I thought what that sales guy was telling me sounded kinda redundant. He said that the paired sticks were "tuned" together, optimizing the performance of the RAM.
He also told me just the opposite of what you've said, (said they wouldn't work as dual channel).
