    AMD 3200+ Barton w/PC2700 Ram?

     
    Using a 2600+ thouroughbred right now with 1gig PC2700... was wondering if I upgraded to 3200+ Barton CPU would I be able to use it with PC2700 RAM?

    seasonic 520watt psu /1 TB WD
    8 gig G-Skill Ripjaw 1600 / Asus m4a89GTD Pro/usb3

    It's up to your motherboard. If you can set a different divider or simply set the ram frequency to 166 then you'll be fine.

    Well yes the FSB is set to 166 right now by default. I use an NF7 v2.0 board (not nf7-s) and in the Soft Menu III bios it allows me to set the FSB to 200 which turns the processor into a 3200+ but I haven't messed with that.
