    AM2 4200+ X2 2.2Ghz ..or.. AM2 3800+ 2.4Ghz

Imagine you need a home Pc for everything..working, gaming, etc
What Proccesor would you choose ??
(not talking about mobos or Video Cards for special purposes..just micro)
The money is not an issue just a preferences matter.

I'd get the X2, as the 3800+ is a single core, correct? Dual Core is better than single core.

The price difference in those two CPU's..... Obviously the x2 is better....

If you wanted a balance of the two, get the x2 3800+

Console we are talking about AM2.. and yes I have to buy it.

Well, for gaming is better the single core 3800+..doesnt it?

Nooo.. the similar would be the 4600+ because the 3800+ would be 2.0Ghz X2....

I asked this because I know that Wont have any problems for working but for games, as SpaceSquad said, its only a 3500+.
What are the maximum requirements for games today on processors ??

Demian... I think your a bit confused. First off, check some benchmarks:
    http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.ht...=69&model2=212

The difference between the processors you are talking about is going to give you minimal performance difference in games. The GPU(graphics card) you buy is going to be your bottleneck.
Even though the x2 4200+ is two 3500+ cores(in speed): many games today can utilize both cores. Rendering this thought process useless....

The x2 4200+ will give you slightly better Framerates in most games, and will be MUCH better for multitaking. If you can afford it, get dual core. If you really want, you could overclock. But IMO, a 3200+ is sufficient for gaming still.... the CPU just doesnt make that much of a impact on gaming performance.
