Friend (and me) need some help on overclocking his comp...
Hey guys,
Alright so my friend is wanting to know how to overclock his computer.
He has an Amd 64 3200+, and 2 gigs of pc3200 ram from ocz (value iirc) running on a DFI Lanparty Ultra-D NF4.
Im not exactly up to snuff on overclocking amd's nor on this complex a board, so I thought you guys could help us out. All we want is a nice clean overclock, something that'll give him a boost, but im sure the memory will pull that back, which he knew already when he built it.
Anyways we're looking at getting what to look for in his bios (not updated, factory default) and some clean overclocking nubmers to change to...
Thanks

The ram will be fine... All you need to do is use the proper divider and it won't hold you back hardly at all.

DFI-Street is a great resource when it comes to anything overclocking, especially overclocking and DFI boards.
Here are just a few of the useful resources there:
AMD Socket 939 Overclocking Database (find comparable systems and what kind of overclocks other users accomplished, with detailed specs/settings)
"THE" Definitive DFI AMD Overclocking guide! (also available as a PDF download)
3rd Party/User modified BIOSes (be careful when updating your BIOS if you go that route)"Be quiet, Brain, or I'll stab you with a Q-tip"
