Need some serious upgrade help!!!!!

Ok right now i have a amd 3700+ ddr 400, 1 gig of ram and a x1600pro 512 agp.

I want to upgrade the board and vid card so that i can use my other gig and have 2 gigs. my current board is microatx and only has to ram slots.

and the vid card I want is 7950 gt ko 512. I guess what im wondering is should i get dual core or will i not see a difference. also everyone is tellin me to wait cause dx10 till dx10 comes out.

that motherboard will fit in just about any case accept maybe a SFF.

It supports dual channel and SLI.

Best thing to do is buy the motherboard and get a dual core opteron.
they are about the same price as the X2 cpu's and they tend to clock up a lot better if yer into that kinda thing.
Also, all opterons have 1Mb per core, unlike the x2, where several have only 512KB per core.

And yer videocard will last you long enough to wait for the directX 10 cards, but if yer in dire need of a graphics upgrade, I'd just get one right now, it's not like directX 9 cards will be worthless when dx10 cards come out.

Just be aware that it does only have 1 PATA port... and 1 PCI slot...
And unless you are specifically planning on running SLI, there are better options...
