Stupid questions about my E8400

Ok so i haven't built a system in a few years and been out of the scene, I just bought a ABIT IP35 Pro Corsair 2x2GB DDR2 800mhz and the new Intel E8400. Did i royally screw up on buying this ram(it says not intended for 32bit use) or can this processor run 64x OS?

also if i can or do run a 64 bit os, is there big computability issues with games and programs etc?

Thanks

Strange I just bought the same thing almost. Was gonna get the same Corsair memory but got a good deal on Kingston HyperX so choose that instead.

The cpu does suport 64 Bit.

should be no problem using that ram for 32 bit, I think it says that because the total capacity is 4GB & you won't see the system use up all 4GB's of RAM, usually between 3 & 3.75GB depending on what else is in your system, Vid card, etc etc, since 32 bit windows can only address a total max of 4GB of RAM for the ENTIRE system, including vidcards etc etc. beyond that, 64bit OS's can address much much more beyond 4GB's.
