I have a Core 2 Duo and I mainly game with it. I am playing Everquest2 which does not take advantage of the processor, but I also run Ventrilo and ACT in the background. When I start the other programs will they automatically be assigned to the 2nd processor? or can I/do I need to assign them?
You no longer need to guess! This free stability scan and registry cleaner download will give you a complete diagnosis of your Windows registry, identifying errors and conflicts.
You CAN assign the affinity of each program using the task manager, but there's really no point. Most OS's will automatically balance the programs across the multiple cores, which includes windows
Are you having problems right now or were you just curious?

Yeah was curious how it would work. I wanted to run the other 2 programs on their own processor because EQ2 is more processor dependent than it is video card.
