DDR2100 or DDR2700 help please??

Hi,

I have a SIS 746FX chipset with Athlon 3000xp and with 1GB DDR333 RAM in 2 banks, using XP Home and 6800GT AGP card.

I happened to find a spare DDR333 512MB module, but the SIS 746fx cannot take DDR333 in the 3 banks it has. You can only use 3 banks in DDR 2100, or 2banks in ddr333.

Should I use the 3 banks for 1.5GB in DDR 2100, or keep it at 1GB DDR 333?

What do you think?
Wil I get a performace boost with the extra RAM, although working at a slower speed. CL is 3 on all modules

More is generally better then faster ram....But it also depends on what and how many apps you run on your pc.

Are you currently maxing out the 1 gig? If not, adding more might not make much difference.
