| BSEL Mod:OC an 800/1066 FSB CPU to 1333FSB ?
Anybody familier with this OC maneuver or even hear of it?
Other (Mobo) Chipsets that can be so modded ?
Running C2D E4300 1.8GHz 800FSB chip @ 3.0GHz 1333FSB ?
BSEL stands for ??? Quote: |
This is possibly the only G33 motherboard that will work with the BSEL mod. BSEL mod requires disabling ""F1 errors"" in the BIOS. However, it's not without caveats: with BSEL mod in place, the board does a double-boot where it comes on for 10-seconds, shuts off for 5-seconds, then turns back on and boots normally. However, even with that extra 15-second delay, it still boots 5-seconds faster from initial press of the power button than the G965 board it replaced! BSEL mod for those who don't know, is a way to run an 800 or 1066FSB CPU at 1333FSB with the correct straps. For example, my C2D E4300 1.8GHz 800FSB chip runs @ 3.0GHz 1333FSB on this board, but NOTHING ELSE is overclocked. NB, SB, PCIe, PCI, all run at the correct speeds. This is the ideal way to overclock, IMO
