| adding another 2GB of RAM?
How big is the performance increase from adding another 2GB of RAM? Just wondered if there would be any point in wasting another £100 on RAM i may not need.
Cheers for your help.

Depends on the situation - how much RAM does it have already..? Most systems can't deal with more than around 3.5 GB of RAM, unless you're using a 64-bit processor and OS....
What are the specs on it, you could be as well off to spend some on a new CPU (or perhaps even computer) and get a bigger hit............

2Gb OCZ Gold XTC PC-4000 | Based on your current build there isnt a whole lot of growth without some serious build up. Maybe a new CPU but your almost better off looking at the Intel chips coming out soon. They are reporting to be some of the best chips ever made, incredible processing power in a REALLY small package. |

Ah, I didn't realise the OP was relating to the rig in the sig - a LOT of the ppl I know have multiple computers, and I thought they might've been thinking about an old 'un... |
