    Will this tide me over?

While waiting on the Pii to come out. Was going to sell my Q6600 and Abit IP35-Pro mobo and get me a Asus M3A79-T Deluxe motherboard and a AM2 6000+ proc to tide me over till then. Is that processor good enough for now? It would then be used in a media center after its short life in my case.

You already know the answer to this.
It depends on what your doing. If your rendering large video files, then your gonna be hating life.
If your gaming, browsing, etc. Then of course that's "enough", and that should tide you over well. I bet you can get a decent OC out of it too.

ya, its just going to be gaming, and what ive done to help my gaming, is to TURN OFF ALL QUALITY and just go bare bones with only a high resolution, especially in COD4. Been a major help and increase in my scores since ive done that.
