Overclocking Question.

Hi, Im a noob at this overclocking thing so i have a question. If i overclock my graphics card and my CPU should i buy extra fans to cool it down and prevent it from overheating. Thanks.

That depends on the coolers you have and what processor and video card you have.
In general, most stock coolers won't let you over clock too far.

Case cooling can be tested very easy.
Run your computer and check the MB/case temps, then take off the side of the case, and place a window fan beside the case blowing in.

Recheck the temps, if they went down, you can benefit from better or more case cooling, if it stayed the same your case cooling is as good as it can get, and more fans won't help.

Most of the time, you don't need more fans, just cutting out the restrictive grills that most cases have will more than double air flow.

XFXMonkey,

we like to help and assist everybody, but you need to start your own thread, this is what we call thread-crashing.
Looking at your 1st specs I would say you can do some decent overclocking.

Start your own thread and we will discuss it thoroughly.
