Normal Temp?

What's the normal temp for a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ @ 3.01 GHz. with Stock Cooling?

I'm at..

55-58 Degrees idle on both cores...

thats way too warm for idle speeds, should be more like that for when the CPU is at full Load. even with the stock cooler thats too warm.

i'd say more like 30-40C would be more acceptable.

if its running that hot at Idle, don't even want to know how hot it is at load.

76... what do I do? I've applied more thermal compound on it.... I'm out of alcohol and compound so I can't clean it off and add more... D:

EDIT:

Could it be that mine is 3.01 GHz? all the other ones I see are 3.0 GHz maybe mine got clocked up ? D:
