Did you read the motherboard specs from the ECS Web Site? ecs p4m890t-m2 specs Quote:

| the faster memory will clock down to whatver settings the board supports, but you would probably be better off buying some cheaper slower memory. It just depends on the rest of the setup. And I doubt you will OC so slower memory should be fine
