You may actually find 1066 ram cheaper since its more current then 800mhz so they'll be much more on the market.
You mentioned your making this system for gaming so you would want top brands for your memory, slightly more expensive but they're made purely for performance. Look for:
OCZ
Corsair
Crucial
Lower end:
G skill
Kingston HyperX
Geil
I'd go with the ones Aaron posted, those are nice! |

I just gotta say G. Skill are not "lower end". They are very durable. I've yet to kill off any G. Skills, and I can't say the same about Corsair,Crucial, and Kingston.. |

Indeed crucial are very basic memory sticks..... should be in the low end. I have always considered Kingston hyper-x to be performance memory. (especialy the last set I had, which I paid £100 for 2gb). |

Lower End may not be the best term but i certainly wouldn't put them in the same catagory as OCZ or Corsair, G. Skill is more moderate really price per performance is great but the benchs i've seen have G. Skill just under top brands and thats the only reason i catagorize it as lower end. Quote: |

| Honestly i've never used crucial, i was under the impression there balistix ram was on par with dominators, i've only used Kingston, G. Skill, OCZ, Patriot, and Corsair.
I've never really trusted Kingston, had alot of problems with them in the past. |
