Upgrade. . . actually slower!?

Hey guys,
Been a long time. I just got a Dell mini 9, and I had a 2gb stick laying around, so I slapped it in there. The new stick feels a bit more sluggish than the 1gb stick. Is this possible? The 1gb is stock, and the 2gb is from an HP dc7900.

Sorry for any grammatical, and/or spelling errors. I'm still getting used to the keyboard.

It's possible, but usually not likely. What are the specs of the old and new sticks besides their capacity?

Ramon, thanks for the reply. To tell you honestly I do not know. hold on a sec. . . ok. . .
This is what I stuck in there: 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
The mini9 had: 1 GB PC5300 DDR2.

you must be referring to what Bandwidth its running at. if its DDR2 800MHz it should be running at a PC2-6400 Rating. (6400MB/s)

cswalker, just to clarify, are you running both sticks together, or just running the current 2GB stick by itself?
