xp 1800 shown as 1150

i just purchased a new computer(the parts anyway), and i'm putting the computer together. Now, i started the computer up, and it says that my processor is running at 1150, shouldn't it be a little higher than that? can anyone tell me how to get this? I'm using an abit kx7-333 board.

It should be running much higher... 1.53 GHz for the 1800+. Well, doing a quick calculation, I have a feeling your running the FSB at 200. not 266 which is what XP processors should be running at...

yup had the same problem with my xp 1700. just change frequency in your bios and you'll be all set.
