| 750 Duron multiplier/FSB ...best combo? System:
ECS K7S5A latest BIOS
Leadman/Powmax 300w PS
Thermalright SK-6 HS/Delta Fan (w/AS3)
W2k Pro OS
Riva TNT2 Ultra w/Detonator 21.85 drivers
I have chfsb FSB options of 112, 124, 133, 138 etc
I will change multiplier via the Duron bridges
Will bump up voltage as required via Duron bridges also. Question:
My goal is to make it to 1GHz, but I'm not sure of the best Multiplier/FSB/Voltage to get there. If possible, I'd like to keep the FSB to 124 and under, so a multiplier of 8.5 seems appropriate (my best guess is that I will need to raise the voltage to 1.7v or so). Just wondering if I could hear from those of you with successes in breaking 1GHz with a 750 Duron and finding out at what FSB/Multiplier/Voltage combo did you acheive that success?
Thanks for sharing your experience with the 750 Duron.

good luck trying.
I have a 700mhz duron it topped out at 950mhz with the core voltage at 1.85v. it's stable at 900mhz.(asus a7v m/b)
I never could get the dang thing to run at anything over 100mhz fsb. i dont know if it's hardware or the chip, but it ai'nt havin none of it when it comes to raising the bus.

My duron 750 in my wifes machine now would top out at 950Mhz @ 100FSB, in an Epox 8kha+ it would hit 966 or something like that before becoming unstable, now it just hates life and locks if the temp hits 50c (it has a small piece of the die missing) but it would run at 138x7. |

| I'm sure going to give it a good try ....
Although the K7S5A doesn't offer much in terms of clockin' options, many of the reviews and comments I've read so far, lead me to believe that the SIS 735 chip may be my best chance to pull this off ... as long as the mobo can get along with my power supply.
Oh yea, I'll be using some PC2100 DDR CL2.5, so hopefully I've eliminated most of the potential bottlenecks. Believe me, I'll let you know if I can get 'er to post W2k and stay stable at or near the 1G mark (WCPUID shall be my witness).
Thanks for the good luck wishes and for sharing your experience!
... baby steps ... hopefully I soon be sayin' "I'm sailing - I'm sailing"
Have a good one,
