    Ram speed?

Where can I find out what speed my Ram is set to? When I go into the BIOS it just says <AUTO>, and when I try to manually change it to 1066(that's what Ram is rated at) I get an 'Overclock Failed' error...as soon as I put it back to <AUTO> it was fine.....hmmmmm

CPU-z is a great little free program for checking CPU and RAM speeds. The Memory tab show the actual base frequency (ie 533MHz = DDR1066) of the RAM and the SPD tab tells you the specifications of each stick.

BTW, sometimes you need to manually set the DRAM Voltage and the main timings when you run DDR1066 RAM at its rated speed.

Are you running Vista? Right click on cpuz.exe and 'Run as Administrator'.

I have seen it not work at all with some OEM computers like Dell and HP.

What operating system are you using?

    Do you have Administrator rights?

Is this a home built or OEM PC?

    What make & Model?
