Help with A64 OC and FSB and HT Software
Hello All.
I have a K8K8MSR2 Jetway Socket 754 board. This has a VIA K8M800 Chipset. I do not have the option, that I can see, to lower the HT multiplier. The CPU is a 64 3000+ Clawhammer. I get to 2.2GHz (10x220) and 880 MHz HT and system hangs while bechmarking with Aquamark 3 and 3DMark 03. Is the a utility similar to AMD Overdrive for the VIA K8M800 in which I can adjust the HT frequencey and multiplier. I have 2 Athlon 64's I am playing around with: a 3000+ Clawhammer and a 3200+ Venice w/ E6 stepping.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Guys

I would not recommend overclocking from the desktop... Its always best to do it in the BIOS. As you say the HT is at 880 (way under the 1000mhz limit) so the multi is at 4x (chances are it adjusts itself). 2.2ghz is not a bad overclock, but you might be able to squeeze a little more out of that clawhammer... What are your temps like?

Via chipsets aren't usually known for overclocking...
What cooling are you using?

Yeah it blew up in my face 3.14 seconds ago lol. It actually is possible to OC a PSU, OCCT has a program that can. Any ways, I don't want a OEM Version of windows because if i try to even take out...
