Why does Core i7 specify memory frequency?
I'm replacing my PC, and was researching Core i7. Now I thought Core i7 uses QPI to replace FSB. Why does the CPU specify memory frequency? Do I have to match this with the RAM frequency? Does it matter to make them 1:1 'synchronized' like the old FSB era?
